The Dymedix Airflow Sensor is a flexible
and lightweight sensor that uses the pyroelectric properties
of polyvinylidine fluoride (PVDF) film to generate the most
sensitive airflow signal available today. Thermocouples and
thermistors have a signal delay due to the time it takes to
heat up & cool down the material (thermal mass). The Dymedix
Airflow Sensor generates an essentially instantaneous signal,
providing the ability to detect small and rapid changes in patient
airflow.

The use of a wide oral tab ensures accurate detection of oral
airflow in addition to nasal airflow detection, resulting in
a more accurate signal.
