Airflow Sensors

Airflow Sensors

PVDF film is extremely sensitive to temperature change, pressure, and movement and is the fastest signal transmitter in the sleep sensor industry (1,000 times faster than a thermistor). This results in consistent and accurate readings regardless of patient movement. There is no reason to use plastic pressure cannulas that are uncomfortable for the patient when you can now use a single sensor to accurately detect apneas, hypopneas, flow limitation and even snoring.

Effort Belts

Effort Belts

While most manufacturers produce an effort belt that contains a single wire woven throughout the belt or a fragile piezo crystal transducer, our respiratory effort measurements take place within a 2-inch strip of PVDF. Due to wire fatigue and crystal breakage, most belts don’t last one year. We’re so confident in our sleep sensor technology that we offer an unprecedented 2-year warranty, double most other manufacturers.

Surface Electrodes

Surface Electrodes

Dymedix also produces surface electrodes to detect EMG activity from the chin and legs and PVDF-based snore sensors in reusable and disposable versions. The high sensitivity of the snore sensor means it does not need to be placed on the “sweet” spot, thus eliminating cardioid artifact. Dual EMG-snap and triple chin patch electrodes, along with single and dual snap lead wires, complete the product line.
